Gift Registrations
CIES is committed to supporting its scholarly community and in particular aims to promote inclusion of its members from diverse cultures and career stages. Visa Invitation Letters
CIES 2019 San Francisco participants may request official visa invitation letters to help facilitate their travel to the United States. Visa invitation letters guarantee that participation in CIES 2019 San Francisco is unpaid. When applying for visas, conference participants must have adequate funds in their possession, as well as confirmed accommodations and return transportation.

In order to be eligible for a personalized visa letter, you must first confirm your participation in CIES 2019 San Francisco by either (a) registering for the conference AND paying registration fees in full; or (b) receiving acceptance notification for a proposal that identifies you as a presenter (decisions on proposal submissions will be made in December 2018). To request a PDF visa invitation letter, please email iuconfs@indiana.edu with a copy of your paid registration and/or CIES 2019 San Francisco acceptance letter.

Participation Certificates
All registered conference participants will receive a participation certificate on-site when they check in at the registration desk. We understand that such documentation may be used by your institution as evidence of your participation in order to justify reimbursement of expenses. As our participation certificates verify your registration and attendance at CIES 2019 San Francisco, you must accept your participation certification in person. Unlike acceptance notifications distributed via the All Academic online proposal system, participation certificates do not contain any specific information about presentations as part of the conference program.

Childcare
In an effort to facilitate the participation of CIES members with children, CIES 2019 San Francisco welcomes participants to bring academically-minded accompanying children to sessions and conference events. We are also able to offer subsidized on-site childcare, to be managed by a nationally-recognized and fully accredited childcare provider offering high-quality activities for children ranging in age from infants to pre-teens. There will be a flat registration fee per child and an additional subsidized rate per hour. More information will soon be posted here.
